My client, a growing organisation based in Birmingham, requires a Head of Finance to lead their Finance team. You will be a qualified Accountant (ACA,ACCA,CIMA or equivalent) with high level of technical ability and strong commercial acumen. With a salary of up to £90k + benefits, this role will suit someone who can lead by example and has experience of implementing change.
You will have experience in making commercial decisions and ideally have had some exposure to the Manufacturing/Construction/Engineering industries.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Full responsibility for a large finance team including a mix of qualified accountants, transaction processing, and specialisms such as treasury, tax, insurance and systems.
- Improving Efficiencies & procedures
- Working closely with the Finance Director on strategies to ensure continued growth.
- Developing strong relationships with both finance and non-finance individuals as well as key stakeholders
It is expected that you will have experience of:
- Managing a large finance team
- Delivering corporate objectives
- Influencing decisions, situations and people.
- Building and developing teams
- Strategic business and project planning
- Managing conflicting Priorities
You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
